In 1964 the Maschio brothers manufactured the first Maschio rotary tiller in their small workshop, appropriately nick-named “The home of small tillers.”

Today Maschio Gaspardo is an international group, specialising in the production of agricultural machinery for tillage, sowing, seeding, landscaping, forage-making and crop care.

The group markets and distributes its wide product range under two major brand names: Maschio and Gaspardo. The line-up includes rotary tillers, power harrows, precision planters, cereal seed drills, combination cultivator-drills, flail-mowers and minimum tillage equipment. The company has six large production plants, three in Italy and another three in Romania, India and China. In addition, Maschio Gaspardo has eight sales branches located in Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, North America and South Korea.

Maschio Gaspardo is distributed by PFG Australia based in Melbourne, Victoria

PFG Australia

PFG Australia is a fully independent and privately-owned group of companies, which have a three-generation history of serving the New Zealand and Australian tractor and machinery markets. In 2017, PFG expanded its international footprint by securing the exclusive distribution rights to Deutz-Fahr tractors in the USA.

PFG now operates as three main trading groups:

  •                   Power Farming New Zealand – wholesale and retail distribution
  •                   PFG Australia – wholesale distribution
  •                   PFG America - wholesale distribution

Collectively, these operations generate an annual turnover of approximately $350m and employ 380 people.

PFG sources leading tractor and agricultural machinery brands from around the world and distributes them through extensive dealer networks in all three countries. Without exception, the brands concerned are best-in-class products incorporating the latest in technology and design.

The various local markets are served from strategically located distribution hubs in Melbourne (Victoria),  Yatala (Queensland), Christchurch (NZ), Morrinsville (NZ) and Atlanta (Georgia).

In Australia, our national dealer footprint is vast, encompassing hundreds of tractor and machinery dealerships in all states and territories.

In New Zealand, the company owns, either in whole or in partnership with a local operator, an extensive nationwide network of 18 dealerships.
